Jon Snodgrass is no stranger to us at Xtra Mile – he collaborated on an entire album with Frank Turner called 'Buddies', crafted in one evening which was then released on vinyl by us. Though that record is set for digital release soon, Jon's full-time band Drag the River is more than worth a look too. As the name implies, they're raising the dead, claiming their spirits from the riverbed and discovering gold. Sons of Fort Collins, Colorado, this refined country-inspired band has boasted members of ALL, Pinhead Circus, The Nobodys and Hot Rod Circuit. They retain a clean pop sensibility dipped into a pedal-steel strewn soup. Their self-titled record gathers up the lessons learned from the torrent of material they've released since 1996, and delivers a recognisably salty and seasoned collection of new songs.
